Description
The founder member of the Ace Tones Group, Lewis has always had a keen and dedicated interest in music.
He began piano lessons at the age of 4 and was classically trained to grade 8. He found his true love at
the age of 10, the Saxophone! He took his Saxophone training up to grade 8 for both Jazz and Classical.
He added to his musical abilities by going on to become an accomplished Clarinettist and Flautist. His
practical music background was reinforced with a BA honours degree in Jazz from Middlesex University;
this established his desire for a career within music.
He began after University by teaching children and adults of all ages locally. Combining his musical talent
with his patience and tenacity, this has flourished into the successful business of today, Ace Tones Music
Ltd. Lewis expanded The Ace Tones Group by introducing Ace Tones Entertainment Ltd for corporate and band
entertainment and Ace Tones Music UK Ltd along with Dave Tranmer, the London branch of the teaching company.
He satisfies his passion for a hands on approach to music as the Sax player in the highly successful Rock
and Roll band The One Eyed Cats, and has played in various other high profile bands and performed
sessions for Radio and Television.
David joined the Ace Tones Group in 2004 when he teamed with Lewis Slack to create Ace Tones Music UK Ltd.
With a keen interest and love for music, and 25 years of distinctive and valuable business knowledge, David
decided to venture into the music business offering his expert entrepreneurial skills to the Ace Tones Group.
Within six months of joining the organisation, he expanded to open up Ace Tones Music Services,
North London’s premier music retail outlet. One year after opening Ace Tones Music Services he expanded the
premises by incorporating the shop next door. The shop now constitutes North London's biggest sheet
music provider.
Founded in 2003, Ace tones Music Limited provides a valuable service to Peterborough and the local
community in Music lessons for all ages from 4+ for all instruments, including Clarinet, Piano and

teaching skills are assessed by one of our directors. Ace Tones Music Limited is regulated by the
London College of Music through our Casio Music School. Each tutor is given a profile based on
their skills and qualifications. Upon contact with us, there will be an initial free assessment of
your requirements; we will need information from you such as: the age of the student, their current
skill level, days and times available, and what they would like to attain from the lessons. We would
use this information to select the most suitable tutor for your needs and then would then contact you
to arrange an initial lesson. There is no membership fee charged. Lessons are paid for in blocks of
five. Our key aim is to tailor our service to entirely meet your needs to ensure maximum enjoyment
from the experience.
